We know: the Broncos were pure suck last Sunday, and for me it was double-suck, because I was in a bar with sucky food (but a good beer selection). A tailgating party would have been a lot more fun, and the food a whole lot better -- especially if it had come from Morton's of Chicago, which has just introduced tailgating takeout bar menus at both metro locations:

• Three mini prime cheeseburgers, $12 • Four petite filet mignon sandwiches, $12 • Three mini crab cakes, $13 • Iceberg wedge bites, $9 • Chicken goujonettes, $9 • Jumbo lump crab, spinach and artichoke dip, $11 • Blue cheese french fries, $9 • Prime burger with french fries, $15 • Colossal shrimp (4), $20 • NY strip, sliced, $49

Of course, there are rules: Customers must place their takeout orders before noon on Saturday prior to Sunday games and before noon on Monday for Monday night games. Morton's downtown location will also provide takeout if customers call before noon on Tuesday, November 24, prior to the Thanksgiving Day game on November 26.

The downtown Morton's is located at 1710 Wynkoop Street and Morton's in the Denver Tech Center is located at 8480 East Belleview Avenue. For more information or to place tailgating orders, call the downtown Morton's at 303-825-3353 and the DTC Morton's at 303-409-1177.
