Chef Simon Purvis of EDGE Restaurant & Bar, 1111 14th Street, is hosting his monthly summer grilling cooking class series this evening. Every Thursday through September, Purvis will host an instructional grill-out for $40 per person. The class also includes a cocktail, draft beer, or glass of wine, as well as a spice rub to take home. Tonight's presentation will focus on cooking the perfect steak; call 303-389-3343 to reserve a seat.

Friday, August 9:

The history of beer in Boulder continues to flow every Tuesday through Saturday through October, at the Boulder History Museum, 1206 Euclid Avenue. The exhibit covers the area's brewing history from the late 1800s to today. General-admission tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for children; visit the website for more information.
