Jake's Food & Spirits is holding its third annual Patio Pig Roast this afternoon at 4 p.m. The event is free, and there will be drinks and plenty of pig to pass around. The patio party is the official kick-off to Jake's BBQ Fridays, which will continue every Friday throughout the summer. Visit the Jake's website for more info.
The Breckenridge Wine Extravaganza gets under way today and will run through the weekend. The event includes wine dinners, free tastings, wine and chocolate pairings, music from Dotsero and others, and about a dozen Colorado wineries. The festival kicks off tonight with two winemaker dinners featuring wines from Garfield Estates Winery and Avanti Winery and food by chef Stephen Kleinman of Spencer's at Beaver Run Resort, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., followed by a chocolate and wine pairing from 7 to 9:30 p.m. The indoor festival will take place at the Beaver Run Resort. You can purchase tickets -- $80 per person -- and learn more about the extravaganza here. A portion of the proceeds benefits the Breckenridge Mountain Rotary Club.

The Beaver Creek Blues, Brews and BBQ Festival takes place this weekend starting today and continuing through Monday. The event promises plenty of fun for the whole family, including live music, BBQ competitions and one of the largest Colorado microbrewery beer tastings. Jonesy's will be throwing its fifth annual Memorial Sunday BBQ today, grilling up brats and burgers and pouring beer and drink specials starting at 4 p.m. There will be live music by Jonny Barber starting at 6 p.m. Check Jonsey's Facebook page for more info.
