"Blissful Sisters" Will Sign Eat, Drink, Shine Cookbook Today

Triplets Jill, Jessica and Jennifer Emich, also known as “The Blissful Sisters,” certainly know their way around healthy foods. The trio first opened the popular Trilogy Wine Bar in Boulder, which had a ten-year run before the sisters sold the spot in 2008. Their next venture into restaurants was Shine Restaurant, opened in 2011, which focuses on paleo, vegan and vegetarian farm-to-table comfort food made in a 100 percent gluten-free and GMO-free kitchen. The restaurant and gathering place also serves health elixirs and potions at the bar, as well as beers brewed on site, and it hosts a variety of live music and events.

Adding to their unique health-food brand, the siblings just released their first cookbook, Eat, Drink, Shine, which focuses on gluten-free and paleo-friendly options, all following the mantra that "food is the centerpiece of our lives." The sisters will be at the Boulder Book Store at 7:30 p.m. today to discuss that philosophy, as well as to sign copies of Eat, Drink, Shine. Vouchers to attend are $5 and are good for $5 off the featured book or any purchase today; get yours at the door or by calling 303-447-2074.

Support the independent voice of Denver and help keep the future of Westword free.

Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Denver with no paywalls.
