Who has the best burger in Denver? The best tater tots? The best gluten-free dish? The best draft-beer list? The best dim sum? The best pizza -- thin-crust, thick-crust or deep-dish? The best new restaurant to open in the past year?

It's time to bring out your best. The first round of voting in our Readers' Poll for the Best of Denver 2014 -- our thirtieth anniversary issue! -- closes at the end of the day Friday, February 14. That's just a week from today.

So you have some work to do, because that poll includes more than a hundred categories -- and over half of them fall in the Food and Drink section.

After the polls close, we'll have work to do. We'll tabulate the votes, find the finalists in each of those categories, and start another round of voting. Want your favorites to move into the finals? Go to our Best of Denver 2014 Readers' Poll and vote now!

As always, the poll includes just a fraction of the categories that will be included in the final Best of Denver 2014, which will hit the streets on March 27. And our top-secret BOD squad is busy right now rounding up the very best this city has to offer. Have some non-poll suggestions? Send them to bestof@westword.com. Or just post your nominations below.

Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Denver with no paywalls.
