It's the perfect time of year for chili, and MaxFund's annual Chili Cook-Off will be a great place to taste red, green and vegetarian chilis on Sunday. In the meantime, there's the all-important Valentine's Day and much more happening; here's a taste of what's on the menu:
Tuesday, February 14:
Mezcal, 3230 East Colfax Avenue, hosts a Couples Taco-Eating Contest open to seven couples (there is a $30 entry fee per couple). The winners get a taco trophy and a gift card, and all participants receive a T-shirt and a free margarita. It starts at 6 p.m.; call 303-322-5219.
There are far too many Valentine's Day events for us to list; check out a full list of our Valentine's Day culinary events online.
