Frasca Food and Wine, 1738 Pearl Street in Boulder, has invited winemaker Abe Schoener of the Scholium winery in Napa, California as the featured guest for the restaurant's Monday night wine dinner. Tuesday, July 2:
Civic Center Eats continues at Civic Center Park. The food-truck fest lands at the park at lunchtime on Tuesdays and Thursdays through September 26. The movable feast, which runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., features live music in addition to food and other vendors; check the website for the full schedule of both trucks and entertainment.
The history of beer in Boulder continues to flow every Tuesday through Saturday through October, at the Boulder History Museum, 1206 Euclid Avenue. The exhibit covers the area's brewing history from the late 1800s to today. General-admission tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for children; visit the website for more information.
Wednesday, July 3:
Go green tonight with Chomp! vegan supper club meets on the first Wednesday of the month; tonight's gathering begins at 6 p.m. in Cheesman Park. Alfalfa's is hosting a Fourth of July "Throwdown" in Boulder from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. today. The fourth annual VegFest Colorado, which runs from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. today and tomorrow, is open to anyone interested in eating plant-based foods. There will be speakers, a vendor hall and multiple cooking demonstrations. The event will be held at the Exhibit Hall at Jefferson County Fairgrounds, 15200 West Sixth Avenue in Golden.
