Want to win two tickets to Denver's Summer Brew Fest on Friday, July 23? Of course you do! We have two such tickets to give away on Cafe Society this week.

All you have to do to win is impress us with your best beer-centric limerick in the comments section below. Cheekiness and humor are encouraged, and you can enter as many times as you'd like.

We'll even give you a jumping-off point with a limerick of our own:

Six-packs of brew are wonderfully portable
But the hangovers are quite unavoidable

Beer swilling aside You'll swell with pride

Because these tickets were more than affordable

Surely you can do better than that, oh literate readers of Westword.

We'll announce the winner at noon this Friday, so make sure you check back then to see if your limerick is the chosen one. If it is, we'll shout it out in the comments section and voila: free tickets!

Denver's Summer Brew Fest will be at Mile High Station, 2027 West Lower Colfax Avenue. Regular ticket prices are $30 in advance or $35 the day of the festival, which runs from 7 to 10 p.m. and includes unlimited tastings of 90 beers from more than 35 craft brewers -- souvenir glass included! (Designated driver admission is $10.)

Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Denver with no paywalls.
