Monday, April 23: Cured, 1825 Pearl Street in Boulder, is collaborating with Pizzeria Basta, the Tasterie food truck and Boxcar Coffee Roasters on a "pop-up" dinner to benefit the Growe Foundation this evening. For $100, guests will be treated to a Cured charcuterie board, three courses from Chef Kelly Whitaker of Basta, dessert from the Tasterie and coffee from Boxcar -- all paired with local craft beers and wines. Marczy Fine Foods celebrates the arrival of summer and its ten-year anniversary with its first burger night, grilling beef from Niman Ranch and serving it on brioche buns from City Bakery. Burger night runs from 5 to 7 p.m. at both locations: the original at 770 East 17th Avenue and the new store at 5100 East Colfax Avenue.
KGNU and the Boulder Weekly present the twentieth annual Microbreweries for the Environment at the Boulder Theater, 2032 14th Street in Boulder. Totally Tennyson 2012, an 80's-themed pub crawl in the Berkeley neighborhood, runs between Tennyson Street and West 38th Avenue, and ends at the Oriental Theater, 4335 West 44th Avenue, site of a costume contest and concert. Proceeds will benefit local, under-funded schools, and your $25 tickets gets you deals at participating businesses along the crawl. Go to the website for more info and to purchase tickets.Sunday, April 29:Rollin Against Hunger takes place today from 2 to 8 p.m., outside Mile High Spirits, 2920 Larimer Street. Crock Spot owners Stephen Daniels and Mandy Birks have teamed up with celebrity chef Jake Gandolfo of MasterChef fame to host a food-truck blowout that will benefit Food Bank of the Rockies. Several food trucks, including Crock Spot, Street Eats, NZ Smokin' Guns, Mestizos and Aiko Pops, will convene curbside to feed the masses. There will be cooking demonstrations by Gandolfo, live music and local beers and libations.
