Monday, February 25:

Vesta Dipping Grill, 1822 Blake Street, is offering an alternatively-priced menu for Denver Restaurant Week: The restaurant is giving guests the opportunity to choose any appetizer, entree and dessert for $26.40 per person; call 503-296-1970 for reservations (recommended), and for more information.

Flagstaff House Restaurant, 1138 Flagstaff Road in Boulder, is hosting a wine dinner tonight with a meet-and-greet with Philippe Marchal from Maison Louis Jadot winery. The cost is $135; call 303-442-4640 for more information.

Monday, February 25 (continued):

Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant is donating 10 percent of its today at from the 1525 Blake Street location to the Zarlengo Foundation's efforts to help children with learning disabilities. Call the restaurant at 303-623-5432 for more details.

Author Deb Perelman is discussing and signing copies of her blog-inspired book, The Smitten Kitchen Cookbook, at Tattered Cover, 1628 16th Street. The signing begins at 7:30 p.m.; call 303-436-1070 for more information.

Tuesday, February 26:

Great Divide Brewing, 2201 Arapahoe Street, will present its monthly beer-and-cheese pairing tonight. The tasting runs from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the brewery's tap room and costs $24. Space fills quickly; e-mail [email protected] to check availability.

Wednesday, February 27:

The University of Denver is hosting a free screening of American Meat -- a documentation of the meat industry in America. Westword editor Patricia Calhoun will moderate a panel discussion afterwards; visit the website for more details.

TAG Burger Bar, is toasting the cold weather with a special four-course dinner paired with brews from Strange Brewing Co. "An End to Winter Beer Dinner" begins at 6:30 p.m. and reservations are required; call 303-736-2260 for more information.

Lucky Pie Pizza & Tap House, 1610 16th Street, is tapping a keg of California's Russian River Consecration from at 4 p.m. today. The barrel-aged, sour ale is sure to flow fast; call 303-825-1021 to check availability.

Friday, March 1:

Bridgewater Grill, 800 11th Street in Golden, is showcasing Great Divide Brewing during its monthly local beer dinner series in March. Guests can enjoy a five-course dinner paired with beers for $40; call 303-279-2010 for for more information.

Beer! Boulder's History on Tap opens today at the Boulder History Museum, 1206 Euclid Avenue in Boulder. The installation chronicles Boulder County's brewing history from the late 1800s to the present. There will be several beer events at the museum from now until October 27; check the website for updates.
