Dining Out for Project Angel Heart on Thursday

Mizuna, Frank Bonanno's restaurant at 225 East Seventh Avenue, will host its monthly wine dinner tonight. The five-course meal is $100; for reservations, call 303-832-4778.

But save some space -- and cash -- because this Thursday, April 30, is the annual Dining Out for Life, and over 300 area restaurants have signed on to donate at least 25 percent of their food sales to Project Angel Heart, which prepares and delivers meals to people living with life-threatening illnesses. Plan your day right, and you can eat well and do good at breakfast, lunch and dinner.

On Thursday night, I'll volunteering at Mezcal -- so my apologies in advance for any substandard margaritas. For a complete list of the restaurants participating this year, go to www.projectangelheart.org.

Support the independent voice of Denver and help keep the future of Westword free.

Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Denver with no paywalls.
