Beer Man

Do you have your Great American Beer Festival tix yet?

If you haven't already bought tickets to the Great American Beer Festival - which will make Denver the center of the beer universe September 16-18 - there is still time.

But not much.

Tickets went on sale Monday - at $55 a pop - and the Boulder-based Brewers Association, which puts on the fest, says about one third of the tickets have already sold out.

"They are selling faster than last year," says the association's Barbara Fusco, when 49,000 people attended the three-day bender.

Other stats from last year include:

3,308 beers were entered into the competition 2,100 beers were served by 457 breweries 132 Judges from ten countries tried these beers, which were grouped into 78 categories
