Hipsters have a new hangout: Cielo, the upscale Mexican eatery now open on Lincoln Street that specializes in hot crowds and cool cocktails. After making my way through the roster of ten signature margaritas, my drink of choice is the Hot & Cold Margarita ($7.50), made with triple citrus and chile-infused Chinaco Silver, a splash of dry vermouth, olive and serrano-chile juices, and garnished with a lime wedge. Served either on the rocks or as a martini, this drink is bursting with exotic flavors, and it leaves a warm, spicy afterglow. To add to those toasty feelings, Cielo is offering all of its margs at half price through the entire month of August, along with such complimentary nibbles as zingy ceviche and rich guacamole. They'll be served in the Hacienda Bar -- an inviting space accented with dark woods, bright blue cushions, white candles and pictures of the sky playing on plasma screens -- or out on the stucco patio. That's just the spot to sip a drink, gaze at the heavens ("Cielo" means "sky" in Spanish) and thank your lucky stars that there's such a bright new addition to Denver's dining scene.
