Because there's no such thing as too many happy hours, Steuben's, unequivocally one of the happiest hangouts in Denver, is tossing four hours of mid-day happy times into its daily mix.
The retro diner already hosts a happy hour every night between 10 p.m. and close that features a burger or hot dog, a side -- hush puppies, coleslaw or their awesome fries -- and a can of domestic suds for $5.
And now, between 2 and 6 p.m. on weekdays, you can snatch a seat in the bar or on the patio and nosh on $1 sliders, $3 gravy fries (Denver's best) and $5 boat drinks. The joint is also featuring specials on its lethal scorpion bowls and prosecco punch.
Nineteen minutes and counting.
Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Denver with no paywalls.
