Monday, August 6:The third Picnic on the Patio at Steuben's Food Service, 523 East 17th Avenue, will celebrate the unique cuisine of California with a "Steuben's touch" tonight at 6 p.m. The five-course meal will be paired with drinks and costs $60; reservations can only be made via e-mail.
Pub 17 -- the new beer-centric bar and restaurant in the Grand Hyatt Denver at 1750 Welton Street -- has introduced a prix fixe beer dinner in honor of the Hyatt's 25th anniversary. The three-course menu, which is available throughout the month of August, is paired with beers from Bristol, Avery, Lefthand, Great Divide, Steamworks, Boulder Beer and Odell's. Purchase an official "passport" on the Ball Park Neighborhood Association's website for $25 ($30 the day of) and get access to food and drinks at dozens of bars and restaurants in the neighborhood, including Great Divide, Breckenridge, twelve, Snooze, Marco's Coal-Fired Pizzeria, Scruffy Murphy's and more.
Thursday, August 9:
Every second Thursday of the month, Copper Kettle Brewing, 1338 South Valentia Street, presents a beer-and-cheese pairing in collaboration with the Truffle Cheese Shop. The event starts at 7 p.m.; e-mail the brewery to grab a seat.Saturday, August 11:Q's Restaurant, 2115 13th Street in Boulder, is hosting a Summer Beer Dinner featuring beers from Avery Brewing Co. tonight. The South Pearl Street Blues & Brews sounds off today on the 1200 block of South Pearl Street. Entrance to the festival, which runs from 1 to 10 p.m., costs $5; go to the website for a full line-up of tunes.Saturday, August 11 (continued):The fourth annual Cherry Creek Food Food & Wine Festival takes place at First Avenue and Fillmore streets from 6 to 10 p.m. today. Tickets cost $50 and include unlimited samples of food from Cherry Creek eateries, drinks and live music; go to the site for a full list of vendors.
And Tony's Market, 950 Broadway, is throwing down Southern-style tonight with a seafood boil -- shrimp, crab, mussels, clams, sausage, corn and potatoes; buckets of beer and wine pairings will be available as well. The event costs $50 and rolls from 6 to 8 p.m.
