Food Trucks Descend on Aurora, and Three More Culinary Events Today

Start the weekend early with one of a quartet of special deals and celebrations today. Aurora will be wrangling a herd of food trucks, TAG Burger Bar and Axios are both celebrating birthdays, and wining and dining will even help save some animals. Here's a taste of what's on the culinary calendar...

TAG Burger Bar will be celebrating its second anniversary with a burger and beer special all day long: $7 gets you a classic burger and a pint of Kannah Creek Blonde.

The Aurora Food Truck Rodeo will be lassoing diners from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at the Aurora Municipal Center, with featured food trucks including Freddy's Latin Cuisine, Manna From Heaven, Mythos Greek and Sweet Cow Ice Cream. Admission is free.

The Pouring for Paws wine-tasting and silent auction event will feature light appetizers, cheeses, live music from Joel Tromburg, and lots of wine. All proceeds will go to save dogs and cats at Outpaws Animal Rescue. The wine will be pouring from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Lumber Baron Inn. Axios Estiatorio will be celebrating its third anniversary with live music from San Francisco band Fotia starting at 8 p.m.; admission is $10 at the door. For more information, call Axios at 720-328-2225.
