From Free Wings to Holiday Wingdings, Ten Tastiest Events on the Culinary Calendar

Christmas is just days away and New Year's Eve is hot on its tail, so spend the last ten days of 2015 enjoying time with family and friends...and eating good food. Family and friends are on you, but our culinary calendar is full of tasty events. Keep reading for all the delicious details. 

Monday, December 21

Buffalo Wild Wings opens its newest Colorado location today at 3900 River Point Parkway in Sheridan. To celebrate the chain's newest store, the restaurant will be giving away free wings for a year to the first 100 guests in line for the 10 a.m. opening. Another chain making moves in Colorado, The Melt, which already has locations on the 16th Street Mall and in Lone Tree, will open a store at Southwest Plaza in Littleton today.

Tuesday, December 22

Let your kids get their hands dirty at The Art of Cheese at Haystack Mountain Goat Creamery today, during the creamery's String Cheese and Pizza Cheese class. The session, which runs from 10 to 11:30 a.m., will teach kids a thirty-minute mozzarella recipe and will finish off the homemade cheeses as string cheese and pizza cheese. Wednesday, December 23 

Head to the Ginn Mill today between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m. and throw a few back for charity. Guests at Drinks for a Cause can enjoy an all-you-can-drink open bar for $20 — which will go to the bar's goal of raising $20,000 for Children’s Hospital Colorado's Wish List Program. If you haven't been down to the 16th Street Mall for the holiday festivities, you are quickly running out of time. Today is the last day to enjoy the Holiday Carousel at the Denver Pavilions and the Denver Christkindl Market at Skyline Park. Enjoy the final free Christmas movie night at the Tavern Littleton. The bar will be screening The Santa Clause at 6:30 p.m. and The Christmas Story at 8:30 p.m. For more information, visit tavernhg.com.   

Thursday, December 24

Celebrate Christmas Eve at Lola with a family-style dinner starting at 5 p.m. The restaurant will be serving up paella and Caesar salad for $16 per person and $13 per additional person. Lola will also be offering half off bottles of wine as well as milk and cookies for a treat fit for Santa himself. For reservations, call Lola at 720-570-8686. 

Rosenberg's Bagels and Delicatessen is holding a truly multi-cultural Christmas Eve celebration today. The Christmas Chinese Pop Up starts with cocktails at 5:30 p.m., followed by a family-style Chinese dinner at 7 p.m. Tickets are $50 and include all you can eat and drink. Friday, December 25 

ViewHouse in the Ballpark neighborhood will be open on Christmas Day at 5 p.m., serving up a few Christmas Day food special     and a seasonal cocktail special, the peppermint Godiva chocolate martini, $1 from the sale of each chocolate martini will be donated to the Care for Colorado Toy Drive.
