Gaetano's opens its new patio with a party

When you've been in business for generations, you take new innovations slowly. Gaetano's, the Italian joint at 3760 Tejon Street that was run for decades by the Smaldone family (don't miss the bullet-proof glass in the front door), was purchased a few years back by the Wynkoop restaurant group, but they've been careful not to mess with the joint's authentic ambience. Sure, they've added some classic cocktails and updated a few menu offerings, but Gaetano's still features Italian food to die for.

And now, after careful consultation with the neighborhood to make sure the fun won't spill too far off the sidewalk, Gaetano's is celebrating its brand-new patio with parties tonight and tomorrow night. Look for Sinatra sound-alikes and drink specials. It's an offer too good to refuse.
