If you missed Golden Spoon's customer appreciation day at Smoky Hill last week, you've got another chance to score free frozen yogurt from the purveyor, which has opened five shops in the metro area in the last few months: Golden Spoon at Stapleton is hosting a similar event, thanking the neighborhood for its support with free treats for anyone who stops by that particular location today.

The California-based chain turns out a litany of flavors that more closely resemble soft-serve ice cream than the tart yogurt flavors that have been proliferating in other shops.

And since it's supposed to be ninety degrees today, even if you don't live in the neighborhood, it might be worth the trek to try it out -- and cool off.

The shop is open from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m.
