My server leaned toward me intently, as if she was either going to make out with me or tell me her darkest secret. "It's the best thing on the menu, hands down," she said.
I hadn't eaten in days. At least, that's what it felt like. I needed a huge chunk of meat, and I needed it now. Fortunately, not only was this pork chop one of the juiciest I've ever had, but it was gigantic. It came perfectly grilled and sat there, beckoning, from a bed of deliciously braised leeks and Long Farms bacon. A salad of greens and Gala apples cut through the richness of the pork, and this dish and a big swig of wine was all I needed to feel right again.
Can you guess where I was eating?
Every Friday, anyone who gave the first correct answer to any of the week's Where am I drinking/eating posts will be entered in a pool -- and we'll pull out one lucky winner who'll receive a DINR deck, worth up to $520 in discounts at independent restaurants.
