"How is a Cruban different from a Reuben?" I asked the sandwich maker behind the counter. "I have no idea, but it's one of my favorite sandwiches. You should get it, you'll like it," he replied. He was right, and while I'm not certain, my guess is that it's called a "Cruban" because of the cheese, a rich and nutty Wisconsin Grand Cru that melts beautifully.
