In honor of National Honey Month, Cured, 1825 Pearl Street in Boulder, has invited Beth Conrey, president of the Colorado Beekeeping Society and owner of BeeSquared Honey, for an in-store honey extraction and discussion. There will be an entire hive set-up and opportunities to extract your own jar of honey. Call the store at 720-389-8096 for more information.

The Vail Oktoberfest gets under way today and runs through September 16 in Loinshead Village at the base of the mountain. The Bavarian blast features yodeling, alpenhorn blowing, music and dancing, bratwurst, and an ungodly amount of beer. Check the website for a schedule of events and lodging information.
