HBurgerCo, the new gourmet burger and contemporary cocktail joint going into 1555 Blake Street (fair warning: the entrance is on the 16th Street Mall) didn't open yesterday, as originally planned.

A series of parties and friends-and-families dinners over the last week highlighted a few glitches in the new space, which owner Pete Plum and executive chef Ian Kleinman are now smoothing out. The web page gives February 13 as the new opening date.

If it keeps to that schedule, HBurger will beat the debut of Deluxe Burger, Dylan Moore's new venture going into 5325 East Colfax Avenue, right next to Mod Living (which is partnering on this project). From the start, Moore had targeted February 14, Valentine's Day, for the opening of Deluxe Burger.

And there will soon be more love, and burgers, to share: Larkburger, which got its start in the Vail Valley and ventured to Boulder last spring, is slated to open a third Larkburger later this month at 8000 East Belleview Avenue in the Denver Tech Center.
