Not only is the Wynkoop Brewing Company making a special beer to commemorate brewery co-founder John Hickenlooper's gubernatorial inauguration party on Tuesday, it will deliver that beer, Hickelooper's Inaugurale, via horse and carriage.

The party, which is being held at the Fillmore auditorium, will feature beers from the Wynkoop and sixteen other Colorado craft brewers (for the entire list, look below), as well as Rock Bottom, Anheuser-Busch and MillerCoors.

Hickenlooper, who started the Wynkoop in 1988, was part owner until 2007 and still has close ties to the brewing community.

"We'll go down Broadway and then up Colfax or maybe 17th Avenue," says Wynkoop spokesman Marty Jones. "They told us they'd secure a parking space or a hitching post for us, or whatever they may have."

The Wynkoop began delivering beer to a few of its downtown accounts via horse and buggy last April as part of an effort to bring some old-school beer culture back to town.

Hickenlooper's Inaugurale, which will be tapped tomorrow at the Wynkoop, is a cross between a hearty brown ale and a winter warmer. It is made with Colorado malts and Colorado beet sugar.

The list of breweries serving beer at the inaugural party:

Anheuser-Busch, Avery, Boulder Beer Company, Breckenridge, Bristol Brewing Company, MillerCoors Brewing Company, Del Norte Brewing Company, Great Divide Brewing Company, Left Hand Brewing Company, New Belgium, Odell Brewing Company, Oskar Blues Brill and Brew, Pug Ryans Brewery, Rock Bottom Brewery, Silverton Brewery, Ska Brewing Company, Steamworks Brewery, Trinity Brewing Company, Upslope Brewery, and Wynkoop Brewing Company.
