The two Elway's locations are offering very different food-centric events today.
First up: The original Elway's, 2500 East First Avenue, is hosting the annual Hot Rocks Griller Challenge from 6 to 9 p.m. tonight, when sixteen of Denver's top chefs will join in a heated competition to make the best slider. Tickets are $100 or $500 VIP, and proceeds benefit Denver Health Foundation's men's programs. For more info, go to www.denverhealthfoundation.org.
And at 6:30 p.m. tonight, Elways' Downtown, 1881 Curtis Street, will present the four-course Cliff Lede Vineyards Wine Dinner, with the vineyard's vice president and general manager, Jack Bittner, in attendance. Seats are $100; call 303-312-3107 or visit www.elways.com.
