If you are a fan of lamb, this would be the contest for you.

Every Friday through February, the Denver-based American Lamb Board will select a winner for its "Recipes for Romance" contest. Winners receive a variety of items, including a professional knife set and cookware.

E-mail fanoflamb@baltzco.com with your recipe and a 200-300 word essay about why you love lamb. A picture isn't required, but it wouldn't hurt.
The recipes should be romance-related, so make sure to dust off those delicious chocolate-dipped lamb and lamb champagne recipes.

According to Megan Wortman, program director of the American Lamb Board, "We're excited to invite all fans of lamb to share their favorite dishes with us for this first Recipes for Romance contest during what we've dubbed as Lamb Lovers Month."

Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Denver with no paywalls.
