Lance Barto of Central Bistro & Bar cooks for Hush's Pop Up Dinner

Lance Barto, the former exec chef of Strings, will be in the kitchen when Central Bar & Bistro opens this summer in Highland. "You'll find fun, creative, seasonally driven American food that incorporates French techniques with great American cooking," Barto told Lori Midson last month. In the meantime, he'll offer a taste of what's to come tonight at Hush's Pop Up Dinner.

This dinner won't be at Central; construction on that spot is just starting.

And Hush only discloses the location of its traveling dinners to confirmed guests, so if you're curious to try Barto's food, go to Hush's website to reserve your spot.

Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism.
