"People kept telling me we were too busy -- something I didn't think was possible," says owner Sonny Jarock. "But this new space is great and things couldn't be going better. It's a dream come true."

The digs not only offer more room for patrons inside, but outdoor seating and private parking as well. Because the new space was so close to the old one, Jarock never had to shut down for the transition; he just kept slinging Chicago-style Vienna Beef dogs -- which snagged a Best of Denver award this year -- on Santa Fe as he closed one store and opened the other. And in the meantime, the Mile High location he opened in the Ballpark neighborhood last year, at 1312 21st Street, was also serving.

"Things have been going so well for us," adds Jarock. "I'm just glad my dad is here to see it."

The Santa Fe Mile High Vienna is open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.; call the restaurant at 720-379-4600 for more information.
