Nicolo's Chicago-Style Pizza, 1205 East 13th Avenue, has completed its expansion into the space formerly inhabited by Cricket on the Hill. The joint now has more seats, slick new televisions, an arcade game and a pool table.

The renovation came with a new menu: The pizza is about the only thing that stayed the same; appetizers and salads got a revamp, and all the pastas are now made fresh. The chefs also got more room in the kitchen -- and Nicolo's now has a liquor license.

The Capitol Hill Nicolo's, one of eight locations in the metro area, is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to midnight.
