Noodles & Company, the Colorado-based, quick-casual joint that serves oodles of noodles, salads and sandwiches from around the globe, is opening its 38th store tomorrow at 1737 East Evans Avenue in the location formerly occupied by a Blockbuster Video store. The store makes its debut at 10:30 a.m., when it will host a drawing to win free noodles for a year.

The homegrown chain is also hosting a fundraiser this afternoon from 4 to 8 p.m. to benefit the Fisher Early Learning Center on the University of Denver campus. Bring your friends, arrive hungry and eat like there's no tomorrow, because 100 percent of the proceeds benefit the children's education center.

Along with expanded hours (until 10 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday and until 11 p.m. Thursday through Saturday), the newest Noodles & Company will also have curbside pick-up, complimentary wifi -- and liquor. For more information, dial 303-722-1912.

Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Denver with no paywalls.
