Support the independent voice of Denver and help keep the future of Westword free.
That was easy.
Yesterday, we asked Cafe Society readers to guess the location of Olav Peterson's new restaurant, scheduled to open in early December, and the only clue we gave was in the form of a black-and-white photo from way back when.
But it was enough to generate several guesses, all of which were correct.
Question is, which of you was the first to get it right?
That award goes to Patrick, who correctly guessed 500 East Alameda, the address of which originally belonged to a Sinclair filling station, and later Gary's Auto Service.
Because of Patrick's good sleuthing skills, he wins two seats to the opening of Bittersweet.
Patrick, please send an e-mail with your first and last name and e-mail address to lori.midson@westword.com.
Thanks to everyone for playing!
Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Denver with no paywalls.
