For procrastinators, Wednesday's Pie, Frank Bonanno's Larimer Square pie shop (and "secret" entrance to cocktail den Green Russell) is also offering six holiday pies that can be ordered at bonannoconcepts.com/shop as late as Monday, November 24, for pick-up the day before Thanksgiving. Prices range from a $20 maple-bourbon pumpkin pie to a $30 Helliemae's Chili Palmer pecan pie.
If you've loosened your belt and are ready for more, Humble Pie is also taking orders, even though the former Baker-neighborhood bakery is currently without a storefront. Humble Pie closed its Third Avenue location in September to find bigger digs, and owner Jessica Dolgan has just announced that she's signed a lease and will be settling into a new spot at East Colfax and Monroe Street (next to the planned Cerebral Brewing). Until then, you can still order holiday pies on the Humble Pie website. Humble Pie will have a mobile pickup spot at Calvary Temple, 200 South University Boulevard, where orders can be picked up the Tuesday and Wednesday before Thanksgiving.
