Not according to Mo Smith, who posted this comment on "Three major sommelier service don'ts":

Enjoy your columns, but will say that some of us love the dorky technical details. Savvy sommeliers can suss out those of us who don't mind their going full-on Poindexter with the descriptions. Passion is definitely first, though, and can't be faked.
