Is it possible to have too many pizza joints in northwest Denver? That's what a reader wondered after we reported that one of the owners of Brown Dog Pizza in Telluride and a partner will be opening Blue Pan Pizza in Highland, serving Detroit-style pizza. Responds Tony:
Relax reader... yuppies love pizza!
And then there's this from pizzaluver:
At the end of the day, the great people of Denver will decide the answer to this question with their pocketbooks. If you have a better idea, rent a space, work your butt off and open your own business!!!! I have been to Brown Dog in Telluride several times and the pizza these guys will be selling is nothing like what currently exists in the entire city..
Okay so maybe there's room for Detroit-style pizza in northwest Denver. But is there room for another burger spot? More tacos? What do the LoHi/Highland/Berkeley neighborhoods need? Read more comments here, and add your own to this story.
