Reader: So Glad Illegal Pete's Took That Eyesore Space and Made It New

Illegal Pete's finally opened last Friday in the former home of Mama's Cafe (and an International House of Pancakes before that) at 2001 East Colfax Avenue — and it was definitely worth the wait. The original A-frame has been stripped to its bones and filled with a sleek kitchen and seating; outside, there's a big adjacent patio — and parking! The place is already getting raves. Says Amy:
So glad they used the eyesore space and made it new.
Adds Michael:
Very cool design!
Concludes Eileen:
Oh, boy, can't wait to go.
Have you been to the new Illegal Pete's yet? There are now eight locations in Colorado, as well as one in Tucson (below); which is your favorite?
