People can — and do — debate the quality of Denver's barbecue all the time. But there's no debating the contributions that Winston Hill, NFL All-Star and restaurateur, made to Denver. Hill passed away two weeks ago, leaving behind many friends and fans of Winston Hill's BBQ. Says Larry:

No way! Just ate there. Talked to him about how much I missed it and I remember when he opened the place. Sad day.

Adds Charles:

One of my favorite lunchtime spots! He was such a nice man. Always had time to shoot the breeze.

Concludes Nicole:

If you didn't know him, you missed out.

But it's not too late to try his barbecue. Have you been to Winston Hill's? It's open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. six days a week (closed Sunday) at 5090 East Arapahoe Road in Centennial.
