We're revving up a special project here at Cafe Society headquarters, one that will remain a closely guarded secret for the time being, but we can tell you this much: It involves Denver's street-food scene.
And we need your help to get it off and rolling: If you own or operate a food truck, cart or trailer in Denver, Boulder or anywhere else on the Front Range, please send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org with the following information:
* The name of your truck, cart or trailer * A short written description of the food featured at your truck, cart or trailer * A recent photo of your truck, cart or trailer * Your Twitter handle * Your Facebook page if you have one
The city and Downtown Denver Partnership are in the process of surveying food truck owner/operators who operate within Denver, but we have a few questions of our own -- and we'd love your answer whether you operate in the City and County of Denver or outside it (or both). You can e-mail the answers along with your info for email@example.com, or just post them in the comments section below.
1) What's the best thing about owning/operating a truck?
2) What's the biggest challenge to operating a truck?
3) What could the city (and tell us which city/county you operate in) do to make it easier?
Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Denver with no paywalls.
