River North Brewery will tap a five-gallon keg of J. Marie Saison infused with grapefruit today at 3 p.m. for this week's edition of Wayward Wednesday. The brewery used both grapefruit zest and fruit chunks in the beer.
The Yak & Yeti will tap -- get ready for it -- Chocolate Frosting Stout, a 5.3 percent chocolate milk stout inspired by head brewer Adam Draeger's mom's frosting recipe. Be there are 4 p.m. to taste the chocolate, vanilla and almond flavors.
Friday, June 7
Hops & Pie will tap a cask of Stone Brewing's Ruination IPA today at 6 p.m. as part of the pizza restaurant's monthly Firkin First Friday program. The 7.6 percent ABV beer is loaded with Amarillo and Chinook hops.
Black Shirt Brewing will tap a beer at 5 p.m. that it collaborated on with an artist named Tired Pirate, who will also host an exhibition of his paintings at the brewery tonight for First Friday. The beer, called Love At All Cost, is a sour saison will have notes of hibiscus, rhubarb and a hint of cinnamon. It was designed to tie in with the art show.
Saturday, June 8
Yes, Avery Brewing's amazing but very sold-out Boulder Sour Fest is taking place today in Boulder, but if you didn't tickets, Crooked Stave Barrel Cellar here in Denver will give you another way to pucker up. The brewery will tap four new sour or wild ales, alongside some of its other current offerings. Here is the lineup: Musty Cedar Box, a Burgundy sour aged in Leopolds Whiskey barrels; Nightmare on Brett, a dark sour aged in Leopolds Whiskey barrels; WaelzBlood (Cheers! 2012), a peach sour with hibiscus; Razzy Surette, a barrel-aged Provision Saison aged with raspberries; Wild Wild Brett Violet, made with passion fruit and dry-hopped; and the summer batch of St. Bretta, which was made with blood oranges. Crooked Stave is open noon to 10 p.m.
Sunday, June 9
Avery Brewing will release Momi Hiwa, the fifteenth edition in its series of very small-batch bottled beers, today at 5 a.m. at the tap room. The beer, a coconut stout aged for six months in rum barrels, was designed to taste like a Mounds bar soaked in rum. Although the bottles don't go on sale until 5 p.m., the tap room opens at 11 a.m. and people are expected to start lining up several hours early. The bottles cost $10 each and there is a limit of twelve per person, cash only. As always, a lineup of rare and exclusive beers will be available in the Line Party, which begins at 11 a.m.

Saturday, June 15
Great Divide Brewing will once again celebrate its anniversary with a giant block party in the Curtis Park/Ballpark neighborhood, where the brewery was founded nineteen years ago. In addition to food trucks, and live music from A. Tom Collins, the Parlor Pickers, Confluence and Royal Aces, Great Divide will brew up a full spectrum of small-batch and experimental beers to complement its stellar regular lineup. The party runs from 2 to 6 p.m., and tickets, if it isn't sold out, are $30 in advance and $35 the day of.

Our Mutual Friend Malt & Brew will celebrate and conclude its first seasonal release of IPA2 by offering 200 hand-numbered 22-ounce bombers for sale beginning at 2 p.m. There will be a party starting at 7 p.m. with co-owner Andrew spinning records.
Friday, June 21
TRVE Brewing we will begin its two-day Anniversary Party today by tapping its first anniversary beer, TRVE Brewing Vol. 1, a 3.7 percent Session IPA that was brewed hops from all across the globe (Summit, Motueka, Nelson Sauvin, and Mosaic). There will also be a showing of artwork by Sam Turner, who did all the designs on TRVE's merchandise. As an added bonus, the brewery will be selling unrenewed seats in its CVLT growler club (TRVE won't be filling growlers today, however, because it expects big crowds).
Saturday, June 22
TRVE Brewing continues its birthday party today at the brewery from 2 to 7 p.m., and will then close the doors and move the festivities over to the hi-dive for its First Anniversary Bacchanal show. The bands Speedwolf, In the Company of Serpents, Primitive Man, Call of the Void and Belhor will all play. TRVE will also take over the taps at the hi-dive for the night.

The two-day Epic Beer Festival begins today at the Colorado Convention Center, featuring more than 300 beers from 120 breweries. The private company that puts on the festival also runs Epic events in Dallas and Philadelphia; this is its first year in Denver. Today's session runs from 7 to 10 p.m.; tickets are $40.
Saturday, June 29
Renegade Brewing will celebrate its second anniversary today with an all-day block party out front on West Ninth Avenue between Santa Fe Drive and Kalamath Street. The street will be closed to traffic from noon to 10 p.m. and filled with food trucks, live music and plenty of beer. In fact, Renegade has put together some small-batch brews that were made just for the party and will only be served today. There will be valet bike parking and Renegade encourages guests to use buses, light rail or B-cycle (there is a station out front).
