Sprouts will open a new store at 98 Wadsworth Boulevard in Lakewood today, and the chain be offering free food and special savings in celebration of the grand opening. Doors open at 7 a.m with free coffee and muffin samples for those waiting in line, and the first 200 customers will receive 20 percent off their total purchase. In honor of the National Western Stock Show, The Nickel will be holding two collaborative dinners; one today and the second next Wednesday. From 5 to 10 p.m. today the restaurant will be teaming up with 7X Beef for a special three-course, Stock Show-tasting menu that includes beef tartare with miso onion puree, furikake and beef tendons; oxtails with beef consume; and 7X NY steak with bone marrow emulsion, fondant potatoes and king trumpet mushroom.
