For the first time in decades, the Star Bar -- one of the very last classic dives left on Larimer Street (at 2137 Larimer, to be exact) -- was dark this weekend, with a sign posted on the door that it's been closed because of liquor-code violations.

No word on when it will reopen -- but we can bet some of the more upscale establishments on the block hope it's never.
