Things don't always go as planned, as would-be restaurant and brewery owners find out on a daily basis in Colorado. Case in point: only five of the breweries listed in our August blog post, "Ten breweries that will open in metro Denver before the Great American Beer Festival," have actually started serving beer. So, who else will get their doors open before 2013 is over? It looks like Station 26 in Denver, Kokopelli Beer in Westminster and Caution Brewing's second location, in Lakewood, could make the cut. And that will make a nice gift for everyone involved.
