Catch five food and hospitality entrepreneurs in the act as they pitch their new ideas during the Denver Metro Small Business Development Center’s "Trout Tank: Food Frenzy." The contenders are Christopher Felinger, CLYDE, an all-day eatery with a comprehensive wine program of 500 selections; Kristen Carman, Etalia Foods, the first rising-dough™ gluten-free pizza; Patrick Creager, Backyard Soda Company, all-natural simple syrups for crafting sodas, cocktails and more; Ryan Keuter, Sunshine Bowls, a food truck serving Acai and Pitaya Bowls that are gluten-free, paleo and vegan/vegetarian; and Ty Soukup, Paleo Meals to Go, a woman-owned venture that provides paleo freeze-dried meals. The event runs from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, 1445 Market Street; tickets are $20 and available here.
The Post Brewing Company is going big for Jack's Benevolent Backyard Bash today. The party will feature Post chefs cooking a six-course menu alongside chefs Hosea Rosenberg, Ian Clark and Kevin Grossi. Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse in Greenwood Village will host Cigar Dinner Under the Stars tonight at 6 p.m. Guests will receive two cigars each, along with tastes of the steakhouse's Jack Daniel's Single Barrel collection followed by the one-of-a-kind Sinatra Select whiskey.
