The Spring Flea returns to Denver, and the event is bigger than ever with a block party at the Exdo Event Center today and tomorrow, complete with 150 Colorado-centric vendors, drinks, food and more from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. Denver-based nonprofit Burning Through Pages is holding the second annual BTP Brew Challenge from 2 to 5 p.m. at Stoney's Bar and Grill. Sample twenty brews from ten breweries and cast your vote for the best beer. Tickets are $32 and include beer, food and a T-shirt; grab yours here. Proceeds will benefit Burning Through Pages, whose mission is to bring literature to at-risk youth. 

Coohills is throwing a wine dinner featuring the wines of Italian winery Allegrini, starting at 6:30 p.m. The evening begins with passed hors d’oeuvres, followed by a multi-course European-inspired menu. Guest speaker and sommelier Samuel Heider will be on hand. Tickets are $100, and reservations are recommended at 303-623-5700. 

The Brewery Running Series kicks off today at Ratio Beer Works. Starting at 11 a.m., runners can enjoy a 5k run/jog/walk through the surrounding neighborhood, followed by a free beer at the finish line. There will also be food trucks, vendors, free swag, music and more. Tomorrow at noon, the fun moves over to Denver Brewing Co. Both events are $30 per person; register and learn more at   

Vacations for Warriors, a nonprofit organization that provides much needed vacations for wounded veterans, will hold its second annual Luau fundraiser at 6 p.m. today at Elks Lodge 1650 in Littleton. You can help support veterans while enjoying a pig roast, live music, special guest speakers, a raffle and more. Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for Elks members and $10 for kids; get yours here

The Molly Brown House Museum will hold two Scandal on the Titanic Teas today, at 12:30 and 2:30 p.m. You can get all the dirt on the conspiracy theories, forbidden relationships and scandals on the ill-fated ship while enjoying a traditional English teatime, complete with crumpets. The newly renovated Denny’s in Thornton, at 350 East 104th Avenue, will unveil its locally inspired design and updated features today, and in celebration, Denny’s will offer select diner classics at a reduced price (from $2.99 to $5.99) from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. Hundreds of additional prizes, including complimentary cups of Denny’s new signature coffee blends for one month, will be given away throughout the day. Macy's at the Park Meadows Mall will host Johnny Iuzzini, award-winning pastry chef and judge of Bravo’s Top Chef: Just Desserts, at a cooking demo and book signing today at noon. With any purchase of $35 or more in the Macy's Home department, customers will receive a $10 Macy’s gift card, a special gift and a copy of Iuzzini's latest cookbook, Sugar Rush, which chef Iuzzini will be signing after the event. Starting at 5 p.m., thirty of Denver's top chefs will be cooking at the Mile High Ballroom of the Colorado Convention Center for the annual Chefs Up Front gala, supporting Cooking Matters. The event will feature an interactive auction and cocktail reception, craft cocktails, a fresh seafood raw bar provided by Seattle Fish Company and Blue Island Oyster Bar, and a charcuterie station from Sysco’s Mark DeNittis and chef Jenna Johansen. For the main event, a four-course dinner paired with wines from around the globe will be prepared tableside by Colorado’s best chefs (guests choose their top three chefs and are paired with one); that will be followed by desserts from D Bar Denver. The evening’s proceeds support Cooking Matters, a program of Share Our Strength’s national No Kid Hungry campaign, whose mission is to end childhood hunger in America. The Craftsman & Apprentice is holding a two-part Pizza Masters Class, with the first installment today from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Students will make their very own twelve-inch wooden pizza peel, and will try it out during the second part of the class next Sunday.
