Devil's Food Bakery, the bake shop and java joint at 1020 South Gaylord Street, is welcoming Denver-based food stylist and cookbook designer Erica McNeish from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. tonight for a down-home dinner featuring barbecue, sandwiches, grilled sweet corn, Southern-style salads (many of which are vegetarian), cobblers and other sweet treats, all matched with sangria and a variety of beers. The Denver Zoo's largest fundraiser, Do at the Zoo, celebrates two decades of lions and tigers and bears with a special twentieth anniversary party at 7 p.m. tonight. The annual shindig trumpets more than 50 of Denver's top restaurants and bars nourishing the hungry and thirsty. Tickets, which vary in price, are on sale at www.denverzoo.org.
