Le Central, 112 East Eighth Avenue, has been offering prix-fixe meals all month inspired by Elizabeth Gilbert's novel and the movie Eat, Pray, Love. Today, the restaurant rolls out a menu of dishes based on Gilbert's trip to India, available through Sunday, August 29. Keep reading to see what Le Central is dishing up:

First course: spinach salad with roasted garlic, curried cucumbers and lemon juice.

Second course: braised lamb with potatoes, onions, carrots, celery and garam masala.

Third course: gulab jamun, an Indian version of baba au rhum.

Make reservations at 303-863-8094, and view the full menu at www.lecentral.com.

Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism.
