Things to Do

Tonight: Got the munchies? 4/20 foodie events

You have to admire marijuana for its ability to both trigger hunger and soothe upset stomachs (although you might not approve of the stereotypical pothead's midnight runs to Taco Bell -- has he no palate?). So it only makes sense that there are several food-related happenings today, 4/20, whether your preference is to just say no or to puff, puff.

Satchel's Market (5021 East 28th Avenue), Stone Brewery and Town Mountain team up for Get Stoned at Satchel's, a night of food, beer and bluegrass running from 4:20 p.m. to midnight (music starts at 8 p.m.). Admission is $5; for more info, call 303-355-2137 or visit www.satchelsmarket.com.

Vine Street Pub and Brewery, 1700 Vine Street, is celebrating two years in business at 4:20 by pouring out a brand-new brew, Bombshell Blonde, plus serving pulled-pork sandwiches, smoked wings, tofu "ribs," different flavors of corn on the cob and all-natural burgers. Proceeds from beer sales will benefit Judi's House, and there will also be music by Magicgravy. For more info, call 303-388-2337 or visit www.mountainsunpub.com.
