Tonight: Indulge for CASA and Jack Rabbit Hill wine events

CASA -- aka Court Appointed Special Advocates -- is one of the favorite beneficiaries 'round these parts, and tonight, they'll be getting some love from Balistreri Vineyards, during the Indulge for CASA benefit, offering up wine, cheese, chocolate, live and silent auctions and more. Admission is $55 to $100; stop by between 6 and 9 p.m. Get information at www.casa17th.org/indulgeforcasa.

If local, organic, biodynamic wines are more your thing, then head to the Mercury Cafe, 2199 California Street, for a Local, Organic Wine Tasting featuring the wines from Jack Rabbit Hill. It starts at 6 p.m. and costs $10; call 303-294-9281 or visit www.mercurycafe.com.

Support the independent voice of Denver and help keep the future of Westword free.

Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Denver with no paywalls.
