The action's in Boulder tonight. Mateo, 1837 Pearl Street in Boulder, is hosting a French-inspired, four-course wine dinner from 5 to 10 p.m. tonight. The paired menu costs $65 and focuses on the cuisine of Southern France; check Mateo's Facebook page to view the menu, and call 303-443-7766 for reservations.
And the Boulder Theater is the site of the High West Oyster Fest tonight, with live music by local funk band Juno What?! and fresh oysters from Jax Fish House; Odell's Brewery will be pouring its Emersum Oyster Stout. The event also features oyster-shucking and -eating contests. Tickets are $29.50 at the box office or online; a limited number of VIP and $25 general-admission tickets are also available at all three Jax locations. The event will benefit Veterans Expeditions, a local nonprofit that counsels veterans after military service.
