A whole slew of downtown Denver restaurants - Organixx, Ice House Tavern, Bistro Vendome, Vesta Dipping Grill, Dixons, The Palm, Morton's, Wazee Supper Club, McCormick's Fish House & Bar, the Wine Loft and the Wynkoop Brewing Company (that's the short list) -- are participating in tonight's LoDo Bites, a food sampling through some of Lower Downtown's most popular restaurants, wine bars and watering holes. "LoDo Bites is a great way for the community to get an inexpensive little 'taste' of the diverse culinary talent that LoDo has to offer," says restaurant consultant John Imbergamo.

He's right about the price: Tickets to the event are just $25 in advance or $30 at the door. For ticket purchasing locations and further info, click on www.lodo.org or call 303-628-5428.

Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Denver with no paywalls.
