Monday, July 18

Beast + Bottle will pay homage to the Beastie Boys during the restaurant's Musical Chairs Dinner tonight. The four-course dinner will feature dishes named after, and based on, tracks off the debut studio album by the Beastie Boys: Licensed to Ill. The dinner is $55; call the restaurant at 303-623-3223.

Coohills is holding a six-course wine dinner with the “Godfather of Zinfandel,” Joel Peterson of Ravenswood Vineyards, at 6:30 p.m. today. The dinner is $95; call Coohill's at 303-623-5700.

Frasca Food and Wine will pour an all-burgundy flight for the restaurant's Monday Night Wine Dinner Series tonight. The Monday night dinners are $50 for four courses, not including optional wine pairings. Call Frasca at 303-442-6966 to make your reservations. 

Vesta Dipping Grill is celebrating nineteen years of business by offering specially priced entrees and bottles of wine at the restaurant today through Thursday, July 21. Drop the code words "Secret Sauce" and you can enjoy any of Vesta’s entrees (with the exception of the ten-ounce beef tenderloin option) for an anniversary price of $19. Tuesday, July 19 

The Colorado Restaurant Association and the Denver Film Society present the third installment of Culinary Cinema: Mussels in Love, at 6 p.m. tonight at the Sie FilmCenter. You can start the evening with complimentary cocktails along with an amuse-bouche from New World Cheese. The film Mussels in Love will begin at 7:15 p.m.; following the screening, there will be a Mussel Showdown between Three Tomatoes Catering, Relish Catering, Bistro Vendome and Oceanaire. Tickets are $50, or $40 for Denver Film Society members; grab yours and learn more at denverfilm.org.  

History Buffs and Brews will bring happy hour and history together at History Colorado every Tuesday. During the weekly series, History Colorado, Great Divide Brewing Company and the Rendezvous Cafe will offer $3 beer specials, tasty appetizers and a full bar, as well as the opportunity to engage with Colorado history and the museum’s collection. This week you can enjoy live music from 4 to 7 p.m.; head to historycolorado.org for more information. 

HuHot Mongolian Grill is opening its seventh Colorado location today, at 8336 Northfield Boulevard. To celebrate, the all-you-can-eat Mongolian grill will be offering a free grill meal and will donate a portion of the proceeds from all drinks, appetizers and desserts to The Home Front Cares. Crooked Stave and Root Down are teaming up for a barrel-aged beer dinner at 7 p.m. at Root Down.  The four-course dinner will be complemented by barrel-aged pairings from Crooked Stave. Seats are $75; reserve yours by calling 303-993-4200.

Angelo's Taverna will host the second annual Titanium Chef Throwdown at 6:30 p.m. today on the restaurant's back patio. Two teams of chefs will battle it out in an all-out grill war, in which every dish will have a component that is grilled. Tickets to the Iron Chef-style throwdown are $75; call 303-744-3366, to reserve your seats. 

The Post is launching a nine-week beer-pong league, with games at 7 p.m. every Tuesday night. Each week’s winners will be invited back for a ninth-week championship and the chance to win a keg of Post beer for your own party. For more information, contact the Post at 303-593-2066. 

Indulge your sweet tooth at Sugarmill's Chocolate and Cheese Night. You can enjoy sweet and savory bites, as well as live music on the patio, for $45 or $60 with a bottomless beverage option. Wednesday, July 20 

Frasca Food and Wine is holding its next Tastemakers Dinner at 6 p.m. today. The special five-course pairing dinner will feature an all-red cast of wines from Carlo Franchetti, of Passopisciaro and Tenuta di Trinoro. The dinner is $335 per person; call Frasca at  303-442-0608 to save your seat. 

Blackbelly will host Crooked Stave for a six-course beer pairing dinner at 6 p.m.  Tickets are $85; reserve yours here.  

Today is The Palm's twentieth anniversary, and the restaurant is offering a duo of deals. You can enjoy a $20 special on select bar bites with a glass of wine or beer or a cocktail; or a three-course dinner for two for $59 (that deal runs through Sunday, July 24). Thursday, July 21 

Zolo Grill welcomes Lone Hawk Farm for a special five-course, farm-to-table dinner at 5:30 p.m. today. Reservations ($65 person) are required; contact Zolo at 303-449-0444 to save your seat. 

Today at 6 p.m., Ernie's Bar and Grill will throw a tiki party featuring ACE pineapple ciders and celebrating all things tropical. Cocktails will be $4 each, and guests will get to keep a souvenir glass. Prizes will be awarded to those wearing the worst Hawaiian shirts, so don your best. Cheese+Provisions and Joyride Brewing are pairing up for a Beer, Cheese and Charcuterie Pairing today.  Joyride Brewing Company's Album Series beers — in this case, brews celebrating the Beatles — will be paired with cheese and salumi. Joyride owner and brewmaster Dave Bergen will be on hand to explain the beers and their relation to the band. The event runs from 7 to 8:30 p.m., and tickets are $50; grab yours and find more information here

The Buffalo Wild Wings street-style taco concept, R Taco, is opening its newest restaurant today at Southwest Plaza Mall in Littleton. The first fifty guests in line for the 7 a.m. opening will receive free tacos for a year, and the location will hold a fundraising event supporting Rachel’s Challenge.
